I'm taking an extreme risk here by even thinking it, but...the majority of my students did the reading for the second day of class. Can you believe it? I can't! We had a discussion! In class! And they could answer my questions! Correctly!
I walked out of class feeling this odd feeling - like I was impressed. They read. They talked. It was surreal. This was not how my last semester started at this school. It gives me hope.
(Yes, Friday that hope may get pooped on, but for two days I get to bask in the glow of a successful class. Yay!)
